Lieutenant General Thomas H. Todd III (Retired) culminated a distinguished 34-year career in the U.S. Army, serving in both operational and strategic leadership roles. Beginning his service as a Senior Army Aviator and maintenance test pilot, he achieved ratings in eight different airframes. Throughout his tenure, LTG Todd held several prominent executive positions, including command of Natick Labs, where he oversaw leading human performance research for the Army and Department of Defense.

He later advanced to serve as the Program Executive Officer for Aviation, directing the development of all Army aviation aircraft programs. His operational leadership extended to deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was instrumental in delivering advanced technology solutions to U.S. Forces and allied partners, notably overseeing the training and equipping of the Afghan Air Force (Rotary Wing). In his final assignment, LTG Todd served as Deputy Commanding General for Acquisition and Systems and Chief Innovation Officer at Army Futures Command, where he led science and technology initiatives and established the rapid innovation framework now used to accelerate technology fielding across the Army.

Following his retirement, Lieutenant General Todd founded Noble Tech Strategies and actively serves on the boards of multiple aerospace organizations, including Airbus US Space and Defense. He was recently appointed by the Governor of Alabama to the state’s Aerospace Authority Board, contributing to aerospace economic development for the state.

LTG Todd is a 1989 graduate of The Citadel, recognized as a Distinguished Alumni. He is an honor graduate of the Army’s Initial Entry Rotary Wing training and Maintenance Test Pilot courses and holds Master of Science degrees in Contract Management from Florida Institute of Technology and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Air War College.
